I have a wide range of art direction and design experience with numerous industries from manufacturing and engineering to health care and retail. As an art director/designer, I understand the unique marketing differences in each of these industries. I go to great length to understand the product or service of the client and then apply this knowledge in developing successful branding, marketing and advertising strategies. I have worked with clients both small and large from local arts organizations like MOCA Cleveland and Solon Center for the Arts to large corporations such as the Cleveland Clinic and AT&T. Because of my experience and background, I have been particularly successful with clients in manufacturing, engineering and technology.

ART DIRECTION AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE

The positions that I have held as an art director have given me a great blend of creative and project management skills in a variety of workplace scenarios. I have collaborated in advertising agency environments with large creative teams including; account representatives, a creative director and junior designers. I have also worked successfully as a freelance designer handling all tasks including creative development, design, production and account management and budgeting. I am experienced with managing multiple projects simultaneously with distinctly different products or services. In addition, I have commonly worked with outside vendors from illustrators and photographers to printers and web developers. As an educator, I have managed budget in excess of $1M.

TECHNOLOGY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

My technology experience includes all industry-leading standard software on Mac OS and Windows, such as Adobe Creative Cloud to application specific software such as Autodesk CAD Fusion 360 and high-end rendering and animation applications like Luxion Keyshot. I also have a great understanding of filmmaking technologies, particularly high-speed video. In addition, I have hands-on experience with additive manufacturing (3D printing). I also have a general understanding of social media and CRM applications such as Salesforce and Hubspot.

PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATIONS

I am a career-long member (and past President of the local chapter) of AIGA (American Institute of Graphic Arts). I am also a member of TDC (Type Directors Club) in New York City. Because of my involvement/interest in additive manufacturing, I am a member of SME (Society of Manufacturing Engineers).

Responsibilities:

Art/Design direction and project coordination of all print and digital marketing branding, advertising and marketing materials including company web site, social media campaigns, product videos, technical product sheets, product brochures/catalogs, product rendering and animation and customer presentations. Additional responsibilities include project estimates, budgeting and vendor coordination.
